Heavy duty rust guard

Chesterton 740 heavy duty rust guard is a long-term, corrosion-preventative coating that provides heavy-duty metal protection. The product can be used without critical surface preparation for all areas that are constantly exposed to humidity and corrosive fumes.

As a result of the unique, polymer-modified structure, the coating can heal itself if it is scratched. Under sheltered outdoor conditions, you can get up to two years of corrosion protection.

The product does not peel or flake and it has an excellent resistance to acid, alkali and salty air fumes. Being able to withstand 2000 hours of an accelerated ASTM B 177 5% salt fog corrosion test, proves that the 740 Rust Guard is a very high quality product.

It also very easy to remove the Rust Guard – you can use either Chesterton’s 276 Electronic Component Cleaner or 274 Industrial Degreaser. Typical applications:
