equinor-pipeline repair

After the sudden drop in oil prices in 2014, O&G companies had to find new cost-effective technology to support their operations. 3X have been doing subsea composite repairs for several years in warm temperature waters, but never in colder environments. Together, Fuglesangs and 3X have developed a subsea wrapping technology for pipeline repair in colder waters, that have been proven to function very well in harsh north-sea conditions.

In the summer of 2018 Equinor Energy chose Fuglesangs and 3X Engineering to repair damaged caissons at the Oseberg South platform. This caisson repair is the first subsea pipe reparation with composite wrapping technology to be realized on the Norwegian continental shelf. Following this great success, the partners are dedicated to finding new technology and procedures that can make the application faster and even more cost effective.

Since 2014, Fuglesangs AS have been the Norwegian representative of 3X Engineering – a Monaco based company. Through a close and transparent relationship, Fuglesangs and 3X aim to offer innovative and high-quality solutions to their customers.
