The SSP-variant mechanical packing is developed to meet the rigid requirements for this type of equipment.

This slurry pump packing with expanded graphite PTFE has a temperature limit of 260°C and a pressure limit of 200psig (400psig for SSP-variant). Can be ran at at shaft speed of 3600fpm and has a chemical resistance of pH 0 - 14 except with strong oxidizers in the 0 - 2 pH range.

During a case study a pulp mill experienced severe problems with many digester area applications with a combination of high pressure and high temperature experienced a tremendous sealing challenge.

The solution was using a combination of this slurry pump packing with a carbon fiber packing which in the end resulted in increased service life of digester by reducing packing consolidation and maintain sealing with minimal leakage.
