Slurry Single Cartridge Seal

This easy maintenance single cartridge mechanical seal is made for heavy duty abrasive slurries and has no need for flush water. The mechanical seal with no flush has a simple robust design that leads to easy maintenance.

The heavy duty and easy maintenance construction brings you a single cartridge mechanical seal that can handle tough, mud applications with no flush. The mechanical seal improves the efficiency by reducing water use. The slurry single cartridge seal runs longer in abrasive slurries because of the no flush design. Energy and labour cost of a repair shut down are high so having a mechanical seal made to last under heavy duty conditions are highly benificial. It is a big advantage to eliminate costly external seal flushes.

The easy to maintain single cartridge seal has a robust design with all springs located outside the seal. Other design features are non-clog pressure plate design and micro-polished seal faces.

The 170L Slurry single cartridge seal is designed to fit Warman AH series pumps without pump modification. This eliminates the need to modify the pump to fit the seal design and to dimensionally check each pump to determine seal form and fit.

Chesterton 170L is designed for applications sealing mineral-based process materials such as ores, limestone, coal, sugar, and phosphates.

The mechanical seal with easy maintenance has a design that is non-clog and uses a unique coil spring design where all the springs are located outside the seal. The fact that it is engineered to fit Warman® AH® series pumps without modification is a big advantage.
