Seals and bearing bands materials, tolerances and design are critical to ensure superior life time of the cylinder. Today, more than 90% of cylinders still use cotton-armoured standard rubber type of seals - this is not optimal for cylinders that are operating under tough conditions. We have a different concept, both in our new and reconditioned cylinders.

1) Our co-polymer seals withstand aging, hydrolysis and UV radiation completely, and that has sharp positive lips. The lips of our wiper seals are able to break the thin oil-film on the piston rod. As this is where the particles often get stuck when the rod is moving in and out, it is critical to remove these particles to avoid scraping and pitting corrosion.  Our seals handle environmental hydraulic oils as well as water glycol mixes.

2) Our bearing bands does not require lubrication of the hydraulic oil. That means they can be placed much closer to the main wiper seal of the cylinder
